Black Calipers/Two tone decals and bird
I'm really leaning towards painting my red calipers black like the overall color of the car with my red/white 'Trans Am' lettering along with a two tone red/white bird like the tach bird stickers but, red/white to over ride the contrast like my exterior birds.
The white inner bird area should be filled in white though I think.
These are the only pics I have of them so, use your imagination or photoshop and tell me what you think. I don't want to go with white ones cuz they would stick out too much but, would look nice on a white T/A / Camaro.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
do you have a 3/4 shot of the car? i'd love to see how it all looks at once. You've done a great job. Yes, black vents ftw.

Id do your trans am logo on the side of the car silver meaning only the AM part and leave the trans red, then you can do your grills on the side silver and it will pull it in together better othewise black would be better.

Forgot to mention the ride looks real nice either way, good attention to detail the rims also set it off.

Yeah, I'm going to keep the 'Am' white as the third color but, the calipers and vents definitely need to be black.
Didn't think the vents needed to be black at first cuz I had just got the black car and thought that it needed red.
In hind sight, it had too much red and so, I changed out some red with white but now, I see that the red calipers and vents have to go.
Silver is not an option for me though.
Thanks for everyone's input so far. I think the black calipers and vents will off set the red pretty good and still provide a much cleaner look.
I'm learning more everyday on appearance.
Yeah Jaison, here is a full side shot. Is that what you need to see?

paint the vents back to black...and it'll look alot better. did you just put a vinyl trans decal on the caliper?

Yeah, def gotta go back to black for the vents. Didn't realize that until I had it awhile. Always thought it needed some red. In the end, the red is too much.
Yeah, once I get the brake calipers painted black, the lettering will be two tone red/white 'Trans Am' like the door decals

If someone wants to photoshop my pics, go ahead. I'm curious.
Also, here is the link to naperws6 post 3613. He had TTM type painted ones and then sold them for alloy.

and then there are the Anthracite (Gray Metallic) as seen here on this original Blackbird. Goober in the pic doesn't deserve one.....lol.

I'm open to more suggestions other than the brake calipers and vents.Last edited by BIG GUNS; 01-07-2009 at 07:04 PM. Reason: added text/urls
