I don't see how pointless makes sense...

You don't like the idea, probably because it's contrast doesn't flow with the car.... so why not paint it, or part of it, to match the car? Personally I've never liked the gas lid on our cars, but I don't dislike it enough to do anything about it. If somebody would make a completely smoothe lid that had a release latch in the cabin, I'd buy that; But for now, I think this would be a nice improvement...

Sounds like a ricer theory to me.

Not my car, do as you please. If you like it, do it.
I can always find something that will help my performance for the money though.

Here are some that are painted that I had saved

Not sure how the guy in the first one managed to put his on backwards? The 2nd one is painted, though it almost looks like it isn't at first.

The fully painted with chrome bolts looks the best IMO.

I will be doing this ricer looking or not...

I think that fuel door and shroud would look good powder coated black. If I got one, I'd have that done to it as I wouldn't want to look ricer with it.

No shit. I looked at autozone today but, they didn't have the ricer Mitsubishi eclipse one. I'll look at Advance Auto. They always have ricer parts.

I'm thinking of buying my own powder coat system for stuff like this. Not to do a business but, just to powder coat stuff of my own.

They are getting cheaper. I thought about buying that and buying a good gravity fed gun with 5 gallons of GMs onyx black. Paint everything.
