Anyone Have Their Headlamp Filler Painted?

Hello all I was thinking of painting mine body color and would like to see some pics if someone has this done. I am talking about the black plastic piece between and around the lights. Thanks in advance.

I painted mine, I alos did the plastic under the hood along the nose on my 2000 WS6 in flat black. I do not have any picts. but I will try to after work tonight.

You know I never thought about it. I've only had my headlights up 3-4 times in the past 2 years though.

Thanks I'd appreciate it. I stared at them for a minute and could not decide what would look best so I decided they would look best as they are or pewter and I'm leaning towards pewter.

Here it is not much to looked at since my car is Black and the plastic was grey, But I did mine in Flat Black......

You could paint them with that special plastic paint so it wouldnt crack the paint when you changed bulbs. I work second shift so I basically only drive at night. It looks good matching.

imo it would look tacky the same color as the car. . . and just like you mentioned, you would definately have to use flexible primer and sealer so they wouldnt crack when you remove them for any reason. i suggest maybe wetsanding them and polishing the plastic itself.

I just used flat black, all I did was give it a good cleaning and it's been like that for 5 years now...

I think it would look complete. I hate how they left some surfaces black that needed to be painted... IE the top part of f-bodys(especially hardtops)
