    69z/28 emblems

Just put 69 emblems on my car. I got the idea by looking at Jonb 's car. Sorry for the shitty pics but the car is in my garage. I just bought new Baer rotors(no more rusty rotors) and clear corners, new headlights. I will take better pics when its all done. Here are a few for now.

Yes sir- I am actually waiting on my shocks cause it made sense to me to get rotors, pads, and shocks all at the same time along with the headlights and clear corners. I ordered some Bilsteins but they wound up being on backorder so I am prolly gonna go with KONIs now. Gonna get some really good pics when its all done. O-almost forgot my skull emblem from TT/S will be going on the rear finish panel and a 69 Z/28 stainless steel emblem to go on the new billit grill.

Thanks, I think it would too. Okay, question from mister anal retentive here. How do you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that both logos are lines up perfectly on either side of the car?

The way I knew was when I took the stock emblems off there was an outline of dirt/glue. I removed all of it but the very bottom were the Z and 28 were then lined the new emblem up with it. With a q-tip, rag and go gone I removed the rest of the dirt/glue. This is assuming that they are lined up perfectly from the factory.

I took the old ones off w/ a hairdryer and fishing string (thanks Y2K). Took the rest off with wd-40. Washed it, buffed it with black LC pad and Pinnacle polish. For the first emblem I used blue painters tape and measured off the fender moulding with a piece of pre measured/cut cardboard (easier then trying to hold a tape measure it) tripling up the tape so the emblem had a ledge to rest on. Once I got that emblem on where I wanted it I took a piece of paper and made a template by lining it up with the line in the fender/door and sat it on top of the fender moulding and out lined where the emblem was then cut it out. I took that piece of paper to the other fender lined it up with the line in the door/fender and lined the bottom of the paper up by resting it on the moulding. Then I just put the emblem in that hole and wallah!

The retros do look good Drew. What would you do about the rear one? You know how good the Berger panel looks on pewter

I know you like them, but those amber turnsignals mess up your flow so badly IMO. Amber and pewter just don't mix IMO.

I like the amber turn signals on my car but I am leaning towards these emblems. But, I do change my mind about like I do my underwear, so who knows. P, I'm not much for the Berger panel for my car. What other suggestions would you have if I did swap out the emblems?

You could always keep the pewter panel, fill in the "Camaro" and center the Z28 emblem like Abe did with the marroon Z. I believe that is what Jon B did with his black Camaro as well, it looks great.
