my scratches are starting to turn black cause of the dirt getting in the scratches, will it still work?

that's good at hiding the scratches... to remove them a polishing compound or rubbing compound with a high speed buffer is needed then waxing... and for really bad scratches sand paper wet sanding... then compounds with buffer... then polishing compounds with buffer finished with wax
