Is Zaino still the best stuff?

I remember reading on this forum about 5 years ago that everyone was loving the Zanio car wax. I sold my Camaro and am now looking to buy a 2009 when it comes out! 8-) So looking for info on the best wax avalable. Does Zanio also help protect the paint or is it just help the appearance? Also how many times a year does a car need to be waxed with Zanio? Twice a year? Thanks for your time....

Zaino is a polish/sealant, not a wax. Its all I use and have used for the past 5 years.

I heard zaino is pretty damn good but my problem with it is they just have too many choices which makes it kinda confusing.

TheRichDude: for a new car, Zaino will be perfect

Polish is to correct paint defects. Sealant is to protect your polish job, though the surface needs to be free of oil, and carnuaba wax type products for it to bond to the paint
Cleaner wax is just that. It removes layers of old wax off your paint, but offers no protection
"Just" wax, is like a sealant. You use as your last step to protect your paint, but is less durable than a sealant

Is all of this stuff easy to apply and does it come with directions? Also do you need a buffer or anything else to apply and use the applications?

Zaino is not expensive to buy and use as long as you apply it correctly. Do not look at as a wax, it should not be applied to your finish as such either. You'll only be wasting product. A little at a time goes a long way as Zaino goes on in layers.

Never used Zanio but I do use Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba Paste Wax ...I love the stuff...Best that I've used, just another option for you to look into, a little expensive to some at $80 for a 8 oz. jar of it but I love it. Check it out. Oh yeah, it's a little cheaper if you buy it in a kit.

Its $85, its a bit pricey compared to just buy $10 wax at the parts store. If you were to buy all like items that are in the kit of some other brand at a parts store it would be around the same price. IMO zaino is the best I have never seen a deeper wetter look on my car with any other product.

    Heres a link to it.

I've been using it for about 4 yrs and can not believe how durable and good it can make a car look. This spring I wheeled out the car for the first time. Then I used Zanio. It made the car look brand new.

Today she turn 10 with just a tad over 30K on her. She looks almost as good as the day I got her.

Only 34K miles and still counting (that's from Sept '97)

I used to use Meguiars until a friend of mine bought some Zaino. After seeing what it did for his dark green RX-8, I went and got some.

Durability is outstanding. For the first year and a half I religiously applied three layers every other month. Then I got lazy. I haven't applied a coat of Zaino polish since about October 2005. Every now and then I will use the Z6 spray (spray it on wipe it off). When the car is clean (I am lazy about washing it too) the car looks awesome. I still get people telling me how nice my car is. They are amazed that I tell them the car is 5 years old.

I have a nice door ding on my passenger side now. When I get that fixed, I will start applying the Zaino again. I may switch to their all in one product. Haven't decided to yet as I still have plenty of Z2 and Z5 left.
