z28 emblem coming up???

my z28 emblem in the rear of my car is pealing on the left side......what do i use to stick it back to the paint without worrying about damaging the paint????

IMO you need to remove the emblem first and put 3M outdoor double sided tape on it and then re-install. Here is how I did mine:
1) Wax the area around the emblem- 5-6 inches around it.
2)Use painters tape and tape around the emblem at least 5-6 inches around it.
3) Take a hair dryer and heat up the emblem-not too hot though-just hot enough so the emblem starts to move a little when you pull on it.
4) take fishing line-about a 2 ft peice and pull it behind the emblem until the emblem is removed-if it wont work continue heating the emblem.
5) Use wd/40 and a soft cloth to remove the sticky residue from where the emblem was. Its best to let the wd/40 soak in for a few minutes.
6) wash the area you just cleaned with wd/40
7) put new 3m double sided trim tape on the back of the emblem once you remove the old tape/sticky shit.
8) install the emblem-then pull off the painters tape. *note-the painters tape not only protects the area around the emblem from excess heat from the blowdryer it also acts as a template so you know exactly where to put the emblem back on the car. Waxing the area before putting the tape on ensures no issues when removing the tape.
