Window Scratches

So my wiper was shot and my dad got stuck in a bit of rain and had to use it and it put scratches in my window, neone have any suggestions on how to fix it? Can it be buffed out at all

Try some liquuid rubbing compound....3m makes it. That should take them out.

go to eastwoodco.com . . . they have glass polishing kits and compounds.

Awesome, thanks guys...Pretty bad when i went to Apple Auto glass they said they can't fix window scratches lol

If it is deep you wont be able to buff it out. Can you dig your nail in it?

No its like a light surface scratch, its just wide.

hey were you able to get the scratch out, i had the same kind of scratch on my car and i've been wondering if it'd be worth the effort to get the scratch out and buy the products or just shut my mouth and deal with it

+1, i scratched the windshield on my trailblazer (trying to use an empty vodka bottle edge for an ice scraper

).

Not sure if the windsheild is different but I scratched my passenger window all to hell removing tint with a razor blade. Multiple glass places said it can't be repaired. Just replaced it.

Hey guys, I haven't even attempted to order the stuff yet, been pretty tied up and strapped for cash since im heading to cuba next week. I think ALL window places say replace it cuz well..more money for them. Im going to order the stuff within the next month and try it, its only like $60, i'd rather gamble the $60 than have to pay $500+ and never know.

Most car insurance companies will get you a new windshield if cracked. Toss a stone at it. Better yet, get the licsence tag# of any dumptruck on the road and tell your ins this truck kicked a rock bat at you.
