    What is a DETAIL

What do you think a detail consist of ?

How long does it usualy take?

    How much should it cost?

How many cars can a good shop do in a 10 hr day?

What is the general condition of the cars before you start ?

How many times per month do you detail the same car, besides your own?

I ask these Questions because It seems there is a common misconception
between a driveway wash and wax and a profesional detail. THEN YOU HAVE A TOTAL RE-CONDITIONING PROCESS which takes a whole diferent aproach.

Detailing is basically a complete cleaning inside and out of a car. It's supossed to be show quality workmanship, and includes waxing, polishing and the whole nine yard. It's now a generic term used by people to refer to cleaning and waxing of their car, though not necessary show quality when they refer to "detailing" their own car. Professional shops would understand what you mean by detailing, though you want to be specific as what you want done; exterior and interior detail, or just either or...

It depends what's involved, type of vehicle; Sedan, SUV, etc..

    How much should it cost?

Personally I can do 2 or 3 pushing it if no paint correction is involved (taking scratches, and swirl marks out, and stuff like that)

What is the general condition of the cars before you start ?
Usually in good condition, but there's always a few that have car-cover induced marring, swirl marks, but not terribly looking. I try to stay away from those that are trashed and not well-maintained by the owner, though some people want to make their car look good, and I try to accomodate those if truly car fans; some people don't understand what it takes to turn it around, and pay what it's worth

So far, I've been doing different cars, I think only one or two I've done twice, most of my customers don't daily drive their cars

    Hope this helps..

    1) Its differs vastly. Some ppl just wash, clay, polish and wax (which takes a few hours) But others are crazy about their paint and take the whol day to clean it.

    2) If u do it urself all the products can cost anywhere from $50-100. Shops can charge upwards of $250-300 for a full detail.

    3) Depends how good they are and how fast they move

    4) Detail it whenever u want. I try to wash mine at least once a week becasue it sits outside most of the time. I throw on lots of coats of waxes to help me get through the winter, and in the srping re wash, clay, polish and wax it. Lots of rain in the srping around here. And the summer i do it whenever i can.

Wait for goose to come on. He will answer it much better than me
