If its over the counter, then pick up either meguiars or mother's three step system that will contain a cleaner, polish and wax (If you want to use carnauba wax). The paint has to be thoroughly clean and polished clear before starting to wax. You can do it by hand, but the best results will come from the use of several polishes and a random orbital buffer.

But walk before you run, and pick up the three step kit like I mentioned, and you should be in good shape for now. Once you become better familiar with detailing your own car, then you can explore the gamut of products and methods to continue to improve your car's look. Good luck.

Use a clay bar first before you wax. It will take out any contamination in your car. It will help bring out the som.

And get a small orbital buffer its mans best freind.

P.S. meguiars works great on som the best trust me.

I use mother's products, but any good name brand will do the same.

All it really takes for a good shine on any car is time and effort. Just take your time, claybar then use a 3 step product, and it will turn out great

Try meguiars.com or mothers.com might have a kit like that.

Do not use a roatary buffer unless you are expierenced with them. roatary buffers can burn the paint. On the other hand you can use a Orbital Buffer, which will not burn the paint(lower rpms than the roatary buffer) and will remove minor swirls and scratches. Meguires makes some nice over the counter waxes/polishes. This all you really need in order to keep your paint looking showroom fresh.

    1.) Wash car

2.) apply step 1 Meguires paint cleaner, then buff off

3.) apply step 2 Meguires polish, then buff off

4.) apply step 3 Meguires wax, then buff off

This is along process, but the results are well worth it.

This is common. call gm or go to a dealer and they will replace the part thats bubbling. Its been happing to most camaros and t/a's. They should fix it for free.

something i read here recently that I did not know is that putting on more than one coat of wax on your car isn't going to increase the shine. If you think it does, it's purely psychological. BUT you can "layer" on sealer/wax. I didn't know this till I read this on one of the major wax manufactors q and a's.

I use a product called "ultra seal" that we have at the dealership. This stuff is awesome! But they say sealer waxes perform at their best with a strong coat of carnuba on top of it. I've been experimenting with the turtle wax ice.

What don't you like about it? I like it.......the stuff does an awesome job for the amount of time that you have to put into it. It dosen't give you that "just waxed" feel though. but I still like it. It seems to work well as a top coat over a good sealer.

I will try to post a pic if i can figure out how :P
