    Waterless car wash?!

I saw these at autozone the other day and find it hard to believe these are safe. It was in a package with a red Corvette on it and they claim that it will not scratch the car and leave a beautiful finish...I'm a old fashioned soap and water guy, but has anyone tried these?

I knew of one guy in a club that I was in...he used something familiar...He told me he never washed it..just used that stuff. To me and several others..the white T/A was starting to yellow or appear yellowish.

Call me a traditionilst....I will stick with soap & water, polish, and wax

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

I know a guy w/ a 68 rs who claims it's never been touched by water. He uses quick detailer to keep it clean. I'm with you guys. You just NEED some old fashioned warm water to get that grit off the fronts and rubber off the rears

The only one I know of is Eagle 1 Bucket Free Car Wash.

    Looks like this:

Haven't tried it, but apparently its supposed to wash up to 60 cars with one bottle, which I thought was pretty impressive.

As for waterless?? Never heard of such an animal.

Soap and water remove debris that will scratch your paint other wise.

I would NOT use this junk.

Horseshit. It's like someone saying we should never need to wash our ass or balls with water anymore, just paper and some miracle cream or something. It ain't gonna do the job! LOL

Me neither, would not use it. Z7 bath (with water) is all I wash my car with.

If it needs a little touch up in spots, like bug guts or road tar, I'll use Z6 in that spot. But that's it.

Besides, I can't image doing the whole car with this spray and a few towels (you'd have to keep turning it, then get a new one 2-3 more times) is easier than a bucket of soap and water.

One thing I have done for a quick wash is wet the whole, pour some drops of soap in 6-8 spots and just wash away like that. But not on my GTO, I won't. You need the bucket to rinse scratchy, sand-like dirt off your wash cloth.

Like Wabmorgan said, without using water you are basically rubbing dirt into the paint which will cause a swriling effect. So I would stay away from it.

ive used that stuff, its ok... but the car just didn't feel clean afterwards. It looked clean but if you rubbed your hand across the paint it almost felt gritty.
