    Depending on where you live you could have "hard" water which has alot of minerals which= spots also.

    Florida, I hear it has the worst case of hard water...
    This is what I hear from a lot of detailers living in Florida

    I wouldn't take a chance washing a car in the sun
    for one thing, it makes no sense at all, and second, water spots are instant once they hit a hot surface. It may not be visible, but they're there and you can see them by running a wet towel over the area. They will pop right up
    No harmful since you can polish them out, but no need to take a risk you don't have to...

    Yes sir. I really need to invest in some sort of filter in the future. I usually have to go over some areas with quick detailer even though it is in the shade.

    yah washing in the sun sucks. I finally started taking cars up to the local pressure wash and using a bay for the day.

    yah same here. if the cars start to back up (which only happened once), i threw in some quarters and made it look like i wasnt using a bucket, lol.
