Using Brake Cleaner on my TT2's
I was watching an episode of MuscleCar TV this past weekend, and the host was prepping a set of Foose chrome wheels for paint. He cleaned the wheels with brake cleaner because it leaves no residue???? Has anyone cleaned their wheels with brake cleaner before? I was wondering if this would damage a polished aluminum wheel it didn't seem to damage the chrome ones on the show. There's a small crack between the spokes and the lip on the TT2's and no matter what I use I can't get that area clean and was considering using brake cleaner.

Lol!
It will ruin your wheels!!!
The reason why he used brake cleaner was to remove oil and anything that may interfere with the paint adhesion
There are dedicated wheel cleaner for all type of wheels. Make sure you pick one up for chrome wheels
Start by using a mild soap and water; preferably something used as carwash soap. Whatever you pick, make sure you read the instructions carefully!
