Tech Wax 2.0
i haven't been happy with my 3M teflon wax for a while now so i decided it was finally time for a change. the 3M stuff went on easy enough...although it clumped up and i didn't like that...and it was a bitch to take off...even as a liquid wax. and a few days later you would see all these spots where i missed the wax even though it looked perfect when i was initially done.
so today i finally said what the hell and i sprung for a bottle of maguires tech wax 2.0.
liquid wax...goes on amazingly easy and smooth. i can't recall using a wax that applied so easily with a microfiber applicator pad before.
taking it off...just as easy as applying it. i only needed one microfiber towel to 3M teflons 2 towels. it looks great too i must say. i'll try to get a couple pics if i can.
honestly...i'm impressed with this stuff so far.

You car looks awesome
I've tried the original version of the Tech Wax. Great shine, but didn't last long at all
I believe the 2.0 version is supposed to be more durable
It's as good of a product as you'll find locally anywhere as far as Meguiars is concerned.
I still think Duragloss is better for a locally available products (CarQuest has it)

thanks.
i'll keep an eye on how long it lasts here. i guess realistically i'm not too worried about it...it would just give me another reason to get out and wash and wax the car again...hahaha.
i know at work a lot of people come in and want wizards and race glaze...neither of which we carry. we used to carry the 3M teflon but we got rid of that recently. unfortunately for a friend at work we also got rid of steps 1 and 2 in the meguires 3 step process. damn corporate crap.

I JUSt got done waxing my car with the Tech 2.0
Needless to say I applied way, way too much and I now need another microfiber to reomve the last very thin layer. I finished in the dark and pulled it into the barn. It looked pretty good, but it need the rest of the wax removed. Anything was better then what my car was starting to look like. Ill snap some pictures tomorrow as well for comparison.
How do you guys clean the microfibers to get the wax out/off?

just toss them in the wash by themselves with a little detergent and then dry them in the drier by themselves.

If you apply the sealant or wax too thick, you're going to run into trouble. Best thing to do is spray some Quick Detailer to aid in removing it, you don't want to apply too much friction on the paint if you can help it
Wash your MF towels with Woolite, separate from any other kind of laundry, and you should be fine. Don't use pwder detergent or softener
I normally wash them thru a full cycle with woolite, and then run it again with no woolite to make sure all the suds and detergent residue are out as much as possible...

well we had some rain last nite. and i must admit that the car was completely covered in pollen as it sits under a maple tree most of the time. the rain washed off virtually all of the pollen and there are next to no water spots even after drying in the sun this morning at work. i think that the wax had a role to play in both of the scenarios. of which i have not seen such happenings with other waxes that i have used. so two more points to the tech wax.

I've used zaino for 2 years now and think it's incredible. it lasts so so long. Looks wise, I hate to admit it but a meguiars cleaner and polish gives a deeper coat making the blue look darker which i liked better. Maybe its just in my head not sure but the zaino is shiny and durable. That black z looks like a mirror nice job.
My Z will get the 28937918274092340932789 steps of zaino pretty soon. Can't wait to clay it and start fresh!
