There is nothing to it....take some fishing line and work it between the body and the molding to "cut" the tape. Then pull the molding off and and then remove the tape and buff out where it was at. I would do one of the small pieces first though to be sure the car hasnt been repainted with the moldings on it...if it has then there will be a paint line there.

The pieces look nice...but just not for me on this car. I am looking forward to getting my shifter plate for the orange car though!

I used regular touch up paint from one of the online stores...it seems way better than the stuff from Autozone. First thing I did was wash it with dawn twice to get any was that was on it off. Then I took a tiny brush and filled each chip (and there was a bunch!) Then went back and touch them up with clear. A that point it will be a little raised area...on top of each. So I then clay barred the hell out if it...then buffed the area with a mild rubbing compound. Then just rewaxed it.

If there wasnt a bunch to do I would have basicaly filled in each one and wet sanded it but with the area that needed to be worked I figured the clay bar and rubbing compound was the best way...and it worked great for me.

Thanks, I appreciate the tips (I have a ton of rock chips in the hood)

Any particular brand of touch up paint you liked/ seemed to match best?

www.expresspaint.com is great. I would get the little touch up bottle for chips, but the spray can paint that have is dead on as well. I painted the bumper support in my orange car with it and it matched perfectly...and SOM is a PIA to match!

And even though its my driver...I just cant stand stock. I added the MSD coils and wires (and NGK plugs), the SLP TB, a Hotchkiss STB (powder coated white) and had the MAF ends and VCs powder coated white. Its at least presentable for now...

And I added a little low end to the factory Monsoon system.

Did you get another set of 505s, or just switch them over?

Switched them over...the SOM car is on jack stands right now while some suspension pieces are off being chromed. So they were just sitting there in the shop.

I like the 19s but think the SP500s would work better with the body lines of the Formula than the 505s (plus I dont want two sets of the same style!) Also it needs a little smaller tire in the back...the TA pulls it off fine but they look huge on a Formula.
