Repaint Hood

I need to repaint my hood and i was wondering what the price range would be for it. I've gotten 2 estimates from 2 different body shops. one told me 400 and the other 1000... the 400 sounded good compared to the 1000 but then again i don't want it not matching well or have it fade away after a couple months, what do you guys think. Does anyone know of a good body shop in Maryland?

When I put my SLP SS hood + wing on, I had the entire car repainted to ensure there would be absolutely no issue of paint matching. But if your on a budget of course this isn't the road you would wan't to take. Be sure to check the shops quality by looking at other work they have done, and get a guarantee in writing that it will match. Even when trying to stay within a certain budget, be more concerned with quality than price. Good luck!

man, gettin something painted has a lot of gray areas. . . definately try to go with someone that someone you know has recommended. if not make sure they're using dupont paint, at least dupont base (best matchin to our oem color).
