First he took soap and sprayed it on the truck and let it dry to create a haze. Then he put painters tape vertically on a section. Then he washed the right side of the tape. Wallah!!!! J/K!!!!!LOL

Damn man don be giving my secrets away

I washed the truck first, then applied tape for the contrast, then I cut the paint with a white 3M waffle pad ,using presta strata 2000 compound, at 2200 RPM with a variable speed buffer, then with the same compound I buffed it again, but using a 3M black finish waffle pad at 1500 RPM's , then for step 3 I used the trusty 7424 porter cable, set on #4 with a Maguires white foam pad and Maguires dual action polish, then for step 4 I hand applied a coat of Maguires medallion wax,...... let me note I prefer collinites paste, but the Maguires medallion seems to work best on single stage paint. and about 6 hours later the f150 was finished.

Thanks man ,I thought it was funny, because A guy came by my shop one day In a truck and close to the same color.
Seems he had had an accident earlier and was headed to the body shop to get the right side of his red S-10 painted.
I am guessing it was about an 1984 year model because it had single stage paint on it.
He stopped in to see how much I was going to charge him to buff the the truck so the rest of the paint would match the new paint.
So I gave him a price he almost shit himself, the he mumbled I wish they could just paint the wrecked side with faded paint.
I said I can make that happen too, he grinned and said how much I told him about $10.00 .
So I gave him instructions ,tell the painter to use lacquer paint with a fast reducer, then come see me a week later.
When he came back I washed the fresh paint with a rag and Bon- Ami dry cleanser , then I washed it with some strong degreaser and as Chef Emeril says " BAM", his new paint was now old.

hey quit making fun of people in the south. I actually did something like that with my front bumper on my 92 I had. it got scraped on the bottom half of it and I had it repainted for that part and it looked like shit because of the contrast so I did a light sand to it and then buffed it with a little oil on the buffer. it made it all blend together nicely. and the reason I didn't paint the whole thing is I was 16 and had no job.
