its not fixed yet (I wished) the adjuster just tried it on a small spot to see if it would take it off....i start working on it tomorrow it will take 2 days......and its my money no fraud at all, if i wanted to keep all the money and not fix it I could......most of the cost was labor......so I am doing the labor
got all my supplies ready to rock and get black betty back to form

don't use dawn....while it is really good at taking off wax...its too good and hurts the paint a little. use Meguiars Gold class wash. much safer and a lot better with the same results
sorry to hear this happened, but at least everything worked out for the best!!

Very well done man. So what are you going to do with the insurance money?
A tip from experience, don't blow it on strippers.

Thank GOD the paint was latex. If it was oil base I think a new paint job would have been necessary. When I first saw the pics of the damage I felt so bad for you man. I thought "wow he has my kind of luck" LOL but if it was my kind of luck the paint wouldnt have come off. SOOOOOOOOOO happy you got her clean!! You deserve the money you got for all the work you did and the heart attack when it first happened.

I busted my butt all day saturday to get it done......chevy place said it would take 32 hours, I got it done in 8....my fingers still hurt lol.............and yes if it was oil base it would have been a new paint job.........when it first happened I was so sick I couldnt sleep and missed half a day of work....glad its all over

I know what you mean. I am the same exact way about my car. When something happens I just dont stop worrying about it until its fixed. We love our cars is all. You car looks amazing by the way!!! Great job!! I think we talked about it before but that Zymoil is really a great wax. I think I am gonna go back to using it again. Your car looks so deep black and wet.
*** Also- you know the Chevy place would have milked the s--t out of that job, charged you a fortune, and most likely wouldnt have done as good as you did or any better.

My grampa was a painter for 60 + years, I used to help him all the time and I can tell you from experience, with latex paint, if you would have went to car wash right away, it would have washed right off with no damage. Latex is really really easy to take off, and leaves no residue. Granted that guy was a dousche bag, and although I would want at least a little money for all my troubles and would have been really pissed, you can't take away from the fact that he was correct.
