Meguiars make over on my car

Ran the 3 stage deep clean over my WS6 this weekend! The car is shiny and smooth. Took a few pics for everyone's enjoyment. Used an orbital buffer to apply stages 1-2 removing each by hand with microfiber cloth. Then applied stage 3 by hand and removed with the orbital. Went thru about 6 bonnets, 12 microfibers, and about 1/3 bottle of each of the 3 stages.

Oh, I used NXT Insane Shine on the tires. Love that stuff.

    Its super shiny!

    Car looks outstanding!!

Just one thing. If you used 1/3 of a bottle of ANY product....you used WAY too much. Most products prefer to be applied thin and worked in.
Waxes like to be thin with very little 'working in' of the product though.

^ I agree-sounds like a lil too much product now that Mr. Luos mentioned it.

Me and my cuz teamed up on his C5 and my WS6... hence the 1/3 bottle.

I don't mean this in a bad way at all. Just trying to help out for next time.

That is still way too much used.

I used to do the same thing. Apply a ton of product. Learned later on that I am just tossing money away.
I think I used maybe 1/2 ounce of a carnuba wax last time I did mine. And that was 2 coats.

Looks great. Rubb it on like butter on a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner.

That color hides almost all imperfections try owning a black T/A! And Meguires ScratchX is a complete waste of money!!! Your car looks great man!!!

    Just wasting product.
New products need to be applied thin. Just enough to cover the paint.
No slopping it on. Just makes more work and doesn't do any more than a thin coat would do.

Thanks man! I did use the plastic-x (not scratch-x) on the 3rd brake light (slight oxidation was beginning from sitting in the sun @ the train station...)

Spent 2min with the scratch-x back there and the plastic is shiny and clear as glass again! I would definitely recommend it for plastic parts!

I've taken note! Next application will be thin, I promise! Now I just have to decide if its with NXT or the same stage 3 wax...

My problem with NXT was the durability of it. Shine was outstanding, but it didn't last long.

I didn't mean to sound like I was telling you to go thin again...just letting the other guy know.
You should see how little wax we used on my car. Two coats was next to nothing.
