Why you think it can damage your factory luster......?

I know of MANY dealerships back east that use it by the gallon on ALL trade ins and used cars before hitting the lot.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

goo gone takes off paint like whoa!
i found that out on my last camaro... my white rag turned red really quick.
then i switched to wd-40 and a new rag,... no more red.

As a professional painter and airbrush artist I can tell you that WD-40 is O.K. , but not the best. True it will take off the wax as will anything you put on the paint other than good ole water!!! The safest ( paint wise ) is to go to one of your automotive stores or paint stores and ask them for a " wax & grease remover" this is the same as what other refer to as prepsol. It is used to "prep", "clean silicones, waxes, greasees, and such from paint prior to painting. Otherwise you will get fisheyes in your paint when sprayed. YOU WILL NEED TO REWAX WHEREVER YOU USE WD-40 OR PREPSOL!!
NAPTHA IS ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE. ZIPPO LIGHTER FLUID. STILL REWAX!!

go to Walmart, get the Oops bug and tar remover, usually available in the pains section.

its almost the same stuff as professional grade.

The fact of the matter is this: You have to use some kind of "solvent" to get road tar off....whether you want to...or not. Some of the guys up here own shops, etc., and have told you what they use. Just out of curiosity...what do you use to clean yours off?
