It took me one hour to clean all of the bugs off w/ TAR & BUGS Remover.
After that, there was still a residue of their guts!

thats what it looks like here in central illinois...its terrible with all of the crops...
but ive used many methods..i just didnt know if some of them was bad for the clear coat...for tar..i know its not good...but i use lighter fluid...it gets it right off..then i just use a turtle wax polish to clear the paint back....
i dont know where u guys live...but bugs in the midwest are terrible..they just eat away at all the crops..and thats all it is out here..
thanx though

Keep that area of the car nice and waxed. Even if you wash your car and not wax, at least wax the nose of the car evey time you get a chance. It makes it much easier to clean
I use Sealants more than I use wax, because Sealants are more durable but no matter what you use, bugs are still going to get you, and as I said, if you keep nice and waxed, it makes it easier to clean

Before you try scrubbing with a sponge, get a product called Tarminator by Stoners; follow the intructions. Wash your car prior to its application. Checkers, and other autopart stores carry it, and it's only like <6 bucks

Another tip is to NOT let them sit on your paint. Get hose phuggers off your car/truck ASAP! I learned something from someone while I was down there, dryer sheets. I can't get myself to run a dryer sheet across my black paint. I use a clay bar for what little bugs I get around here.
I just came back from Tampa 2 weeks ago and the love bugs down there are BRUTAL. I stopped in a car wash and knocked em off with a high pressure rinse then finished up with a clay-bar. Now everything's back to normal.

Don't drive when the bugs are out! J/k, I've found a good coat of wax helps a lot before the bugs hit, and the suggestions here sound great also.
