Help me remove fake wood trim!

I purchased an 02 Z28, and I love it, except.... for the fake wood trim kit on the center console area! When I pull it off, Im sure there will be sticky glue left behind. What can I use to remove the glue without damaging the black plastic center console? mineral spirits? goo gone? Has anyone already done this?

Goo gone would probly work, just be gentle while removing and worse case senario take a look around the Parts section and im sure you will be able to find a used console for fairly cheap, ebay is also an option.

You might try some 3M adhesive remover, but I'd test it on an out of the way spot first to make sure it doesn't mess up the plastic.
