Yeah, I agree with basballny2, compounding is probably gonna be your best bet. If it's really bad, you might have to get with a paint and body man to block it down a little by wetsanding then buff it out.

If you know of any pro detail suppliers around your area see if they have wheel acid. Highly diluted, all you have to do is spray on, aggitate and rinse. No harm to the clear coat as long as its diluted properly. I managed a company called teph-seal and thats what we did at the dealerships. We would get 10 to 15 cars a day and there is no way you can buff them out in time. good luck

Zep shower, tub and tile cleaner works great for removing water spots and cleaning showers. Just make sure you wash and wax the car immediately after you use it. You can get it at Home Depot.

just as dennis said, find some wheel acid.

i use Mark V (Mark 5) wheel bright.

1 part chemical, 2 parts water

wash car in shade, dry panels, spray small section (1/4 of the hood), count to 3.4 sec and take wash mit with soap to wash off. Dry and they should be gone.

I have NEVER had any water spots that I couldn't take off with this stuff.

I may seem like alot of work but my friend fixed a black cadY CTS that hard water stains. He buffed it, waxed it, buffed it, then waxed it 15 times and it shined like new and the guy gave him an extra $500 because it save him from a paint job.

Depending on how bad start with just with good 3m compund any paint retailer carry it and can usually recommend the right one by seeing the car. Otherwise on bad spots I usually wet sand with 1500 then 2000 grit and buff and it takes out any water spots that haven't eaten through the clear to the basecoat. Leant good pro can get them out and some are not overpriced just check out a car he is doing or just finished so you can see the quality of his work. Some guys are hacks and do more damage than good.
