I like the start and finish results as well. It's rewarding to see the kind of work done above.

Goose..........You know green is probably the hardest color to make look good.....Just because not alot of people dont seem to like it....And on a C4 none the less.
You did it well. Looks great.2000 NBM WS6

+16 on the great work!! I'll pay ya for the detail + 4 times that for a tutorial! Love doing this kind of work also, but am afraid to complete torch someone's finish with a high speed buffer and aggressive polishes, etc. so far stick to my orbital, claybar, cleaner wax, etc..

Thanks man. I think I may have shown some ways to use the buffer, and detailing processes before. I think...
I rarely use a rotary buffer on a whole car. When I use it is for some stubborn paint imperfections, spot correction, and stuff like that.
I do have three buffers right now..
I have the Flex XC 3401 VRG Dual Action Orbital Polisher: my favorite tool
My old trusty PC7424: my little working horse
My Griot's Garage Professional Random Orbital 3 Inch Polisher: my newest toy
And I also have an old 2-speed Craftsman high-speed rotary. It does an ok job, but hopefully depending on how things go, I may pick up a Makita model: 9227CYLast edited by Z06-Goose; 06-24-2009 at 11:07 PM.

neat! I am novice and feel silly in comparison... I have a Wal-mart bought random orbital--like 7 or 8".. My t/a paint always looked flawless though--but i spent a lot of time with it. enjoyed it.. I have lived in an apt with no place to work on finish for most of ford's life and it shows... I"m moving in a lil over 2 weeks (1000 miles away and to a house ) so hopefully i'll be able to reverse all the swirls and all.. would be great to know someone relatively close that is knowledgeable and could show me what i'm doin!!
