    Does wax really help against uv rays??

    I am wondering if theres any wax that protects against rays and rain. I just baught my SS and it has a nice paint job. I am afraid to leave it uncovered because i dont want it dulling out on me.

    Is there a specific wax that will help better then others.. And does wax prevent this?

    Zaino does... i can't find it but they did a UV test against 3 or 4 other polishes and waxs and it definitly works...

    most of the waxes protect against UV rays/rain/ etc., thats the purpose of wax, to protect your vehicles finish, and no wax doesnt "prevent" it totally but sure will help, park in the shade as often as possible, invest in a car cover

    Sun will dull/bleach any paint over time....Sun also evaporates any protective coating you have on your paint...so just keep a good quality wax on your baby and your golden.
    My 07 Silverado stays out in the elements 365 days a year....I wax her 4 times a year and she looks great....and will for years to come if I can shoot all them damn possums and racoons that crawl all over her....
