    Detailing days.

Over the weekend i detailed my sisters black 02 zo6 for her. First I washed rinced then with clean soap i clayed the car. And then used mothers
3 step system on it. There cleaner wax sealer/glaze and then there carnauba wax. It just about took me all day on saturday to do. At the end i used meguiars quick deatiler with a micro fiber towel and micro fiber bonnett on a orbital to get it like this.

My sis is real cool we hung out and got me a bunch of mags and made me some good food. She is also the art director of vette and mopar muscle magazine. Well here are some pics. Any questions just ask.

awesome! I gotta clean my car to. Wash, clay, polish and wax on the outside. Then clean the inside and engine bay. Black looks nice but its a pain to keep clean. At around 7 pm it looks nice and clean but at 2 pm u can c every swirl mark in the dam paint

Um, just for the record, how long does it take the average person to detail the car? The exterior only..

I clayed my SS and waxed it a few weeks ago and I sat a bottle of cleaner wax on my trunk for a second and it literally started sliding off! I was impressed because my car was on flat ground! hahahahaha

Just curious if I am slacking. It takes me maybe 2 hours to wash, dry and wax the car. Polishing the wheels, tires, exhaust tips, applying rainx, back to black, etc included.

It takes me a lot longer to do the same thing you do in 2 hrs.
I've got a detail job tomorrow on a 93 Green Corvette owned by a friend. I think it's a 93 not sure. Anyway, I will post some before and after pics. This thing has not been deriven in two years, just got a new stroker motor, and it's ready for some major league detail. I expect to take me all day...

Holy shit, am I forgetting something? I usually drive to a car wash place that has the pressure hoses. When I get there, I spray the wheels with dust remover. Then I use the pressure guns' wash and rinse (no pre wash or pre rinse shit). I use an absorber to dry the car. Then I wax the car.
Then I drive home and polish the wheels and exhaust tips. I then gloss the tires, apply rain x, and I am about done.

This doesnt including the interior, remember.

Sometimes my wax takes longer cuz I use that lipstick looking thing to fill in scratches.

the car looks amazing but I'm kinda of partial to the SOM WS6. How difficult is the clay bar?

You are slacking! She wants you to spend more time on her, rubbing every curve just right until she moans! Sometimes it takes 4 hours to rub 'er just right.

IM partial to SOM too. Claying is very easy. Its better too use clean car soap when claying. Just slide the bar in one directon and keep folding it to a clean part and watch it take the dirt out. And always wax after claying.

    Is your t/a a m6?

    THanks
