Pewter- 2002 Trans Am Convertible
Detailed: 1995 Oldsmobile Achieva S
I told my dad for fathers day i would polish his 95 Achieva. The "bomber" as he calls it. Its his DD. He has an 05 crew cab Sierra Duramax as his main vehicle. well, it was in BAD shape as far as scratches and swirls.
I did a more simple type of detail.
I washed it with (unfortunately) armor all car wash soap. yah i know, i ran out of my VERY nice Pinnacle samples and didnt know it. I think im going to end up buying DP though since everything else of theres is AWESOME!!
Buffed with my Orange Pad on my Porter Cable 7424XP with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish.
Then waxed with DP MaxWax.
Then Sealed with Wolfgang Spritz Sealant. Love the banana smell, lol.
Windows done with Automotive Windex.
wheels, wheel wells, and engine cleaned with Amazing Roll Off.
engine topped off with Stoners More Shine
tires dressed with Armor All Tire Gel.
I didnt use a finish polish b/c i didnt plan on spending a lot of time and the SIP leaves a VERY nice shine and the MaxWax makes it that much better!!
NO BEFORE SHOTS, but it has 100K on it and its 15 years old. Paint was very very dull.

thanks!!
haha thanks a lot, i like the reply!!! i did this a few weeks ago. i can only detail sat evenings and on sundays b/c i work 2 jobs already. So i had to wait til a nice weekend. my dad was very happy. i told him to let the car sit for a day to let the sealant cure as much as it can, he drove his truck for the 2 days b/c it was so clean and he thought the longer it sat the more it cured, lol. im like, its not paint. haha. he treats it better than his 05 duramax, which he doesnt drive in winter b/c of the salt. can you belive that, haha.
this car took about 8 hours. since i only used 1 polish. but i really had to work in the menzerna, and if youve used menzerna with a DA, you know what i mean. my Meg's 105 and 205 came in the mail yesterday, so im happy now to use the 105!!!
thx man! appreciate it!
seriously guys, i was not expecting this car turn out like it did. The paint was so dull and ugly that i just though it was an ugly color of green or a really dark teal. I didnt even know it had some metallic look to it until i started buffin. and i really couldnt tell how green the color was, while i was in the garage detailing it. but my eyes lit up and i had a grin from ear to ear when i pulled it out into the sun!! i was like [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8A4CoKiAsc"]DAAAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNNN[/ame]
i had a 2000 Grand Am GT Coupe this color of green, but with a lot of metallic to it. it was my favorite color of car. i know the current owner, and im trying to get him to let me polish it. i told him HALF PRICE too. and he still wont. lol. cheap azz!!! hahaLast edited by 02convertibleT/A; 07-22-2010 at 09:32 AM.

i found this thread and figured i would up date it with some stuff!!
I bought my 2000 GAGT back that i was talkign about in the thread above!!!! Couldnt be happier. Got it for 3 grand under blue book b/c he is strapped for cash.
before we sold it to the guy 3 years ago.
he must have had cats, here is what the tops of the mirrors looked like. All faded and scratched.
Here is what M105 did. And you can really see the color of the car here. This was a big reason i bought the car originally back in high school. The color!
Here is the top of the spoiler. This is BAD. Definitely going to need some sandpaper action!
This is basically what the entire looks like at the best. The swirls are a lot worse than they look. Clean and in the sun, you cant tell how nice the color is b/c of the swirls, lol.
