Detail: 2002 SS (time to whore it out) 56k; go home, click, wait 5hrs, then view
so i got my DA G100 polisher and other goodies in the mail the other week, so i put them to the test on the SS:
my process:
2 bucket meguiars gold class wash
megs claybar
M83
NXT
i was going to use some M26 before the NXT, but said fuck it b/c i didn't have enough pads or patience..and the 83 was lookin gorgeous
some nasty swirls on my black hard top (no before pics of the silver..i mean come on, it's silver, you can't see shit anyways)
ok so i lied a little, this is the front bumper with just wash/claybar:
M83 on!
swirls, what swirls? NXT on
ya, i have long hair, and was sweaty..get over it!

for those who are wondering...on my hard top and sail panel, the clear coat was MUCH softer then the rest of the car. i was able to get almost 95% of the deep scratches/swirls out of it compared to the other scratches i have in the silver..if i spent more time i think i could have gotten my roof 99.99% scratch free...but then i'd have the fucking bubbles. gettin the roof swapped this summer though

Hello siko,, excellent job,, you looked like you had fun doing it too. I am new to these cars. I am thinking about purchasing a silver ss. It has a billet grille in it. I can see the camaro letters in silver behind the billet grille. Is this what the bumper cover looks like without the stock grille. i was maybe thinking the car was wrecked since it wasn't black behind the billet grille. But am now wondering if the stock grille was taken out to install the billet. I am new to these cars so excuse the ignorance. Thanks, Matt

Sunset Orange Metallic- 2002 Camaro SS M6
the roof bulletin was for the glue they used for the black cover on the roofs of the hard-top camaros. the glue doesn't hold well over time so it bubbles. they just peel it off, clean it, and glue a new cover on it. i still have to get mine done as well. very nice work on the wax job by the way.
