Decal removal

This is a discussion on Decal removal within the Showcar and Detailing forums, part of the General Help category; i used the goo gone...and it left a oily residue...that i scrubed at...but its still there...also it didn't exactly work ...

    There is nothing better than the Bumper Sticker Remover in a can. You can get that from autozone or something.

    Just spray it on like hair spray and let it sit for a bit and then start under an edge with an exacto knife blade and just use your fingers to remove them. Its that easy.

    Around here you can get a decal remover..its like a rubber, eraser type wheel you put on the end of your drill...i know i dont like using power tools next to my car...but it works amazing. i am not sure what it is exacly called but I will look once if i have the receipt somewhere.
    I also heard Lighter fluid does amazing shit, just dont leave it on to long...or light it

    Heat gun will solve the problem. Also apply some Rain-X if some of the sticky part is not taken off. Also I recommend to polish your car.

    yah, i'll get some pics up, there are still a few rough spots...that i need to put some elbow grease on....you can really tell where the bird use to be, when you get right up on it, because of the sun bleaching...pics to come soon.

    I removed mine and I had some slight yellowing where the decals were, but it buffed out. Looks perfect now.
