    Question cleaning under the car

I replaced the pinion seal and now would like to clean underneath the car where it has splattered while fluid was leaking. What is a good cleaner for this? There is quite a bit to clean up. all along the torque arm, and the whole rear end need a good cleaning.

Couple pics from underneath my car

The purple stuff, I can't think of the name of it, it works real well for cleaning underneath as well.

Is it spray on, hose off, or does it require scrubbing?

I have 71,000 miles on that car. I don't have a lift, just 2 jacks and 4 jack stands. I have put a ton of energy and wrench time into this car. I drive it but I am a perfectionist and keep it that way. I am in the middle of getting the rest of the underneath powdercoated and purtied up

And thanks for the compliment Goose, very valued coming from you. Its always nice to hear compiments from your peers that are as anal about their cars as myself. You do a fantastic job detailing IMO and have my mutual respect.

I'm telling you man. I have to tip my hat to you. That's immaculate to say the least. It sure shows the time and effort you've put into it to keep it looking like that. Well done!

Thank you and sure, drive it up here

My torque arm is done and ready to go on now, hopefully I can get it on Friday and improve the undercarriage that much more.

So do you use a soft brush then rinse or pressure wash? That purple or castrol stuff?
    Again, great job...

Thats the purple stuff I was referring to, the one that Jesusfan posted.

I use Simple Green, its in a spray bottle. I just spray it on the bottom and use rags and wipe away. A soft brush would help, although I have never had to use one. You could use a pressure washer as well I suppose, I am just stubborn and enjoy doing the manual labor. My best friend gets mad at me cuz he prefers using his air tools when we do heads or other in depth work and I just do it the old fashioned way. I am sure he will eventually win that battle and convert me over though

While removing my rear coils to add air bags, I cleaned my rear this weekend. I used the purple stuff above, its quite powerful and WILL burn your skin, I just sprayed a lil purple, let it sit, then used my pressure washer...pics below.

LEFT pic is before, RIGHT pic is after. This is just the start, it does not look any where near has nice has the gents above.......yet

I plan on doing some well-overdue undercarriage cleaning and degreeasing on my car. Hopefully in the near future
That said, I've just got a product from Adams called Invisible Undercarriage Spray. I've already tried it on my wheel wells. It has a fruity fragance (grapes) It worked well, I've been keeping a close eye on it after the car has gone thru two washes, and still holding up as the first day I sprayed it on
I'd like to use that to that on the whole undercarriage for protection. It has a low-gloss finish

Has anybody here by chance used this product, or anyting else you may be using for protection?
