i just cleaned them and then used a light coat of armor all on them, they look great. You can repaint them but remember you will always have to clean them....also before you paint clean the surface well with and alcohol water mix and scuff the surface or it will most likely just flake

The rear wells I scrubbed with a stiff brush and re-applied a spray undercoating. I went just thick enough to cover the existing factory applied coating. Every time I wash the car now, I also scrub the wheel wells and it has stayed clean.

this looks great. i may have to do this!

I wish I could get mine to look that nice, just waiting for the lift to be free'd up so I can pull my wheels and give them a good scrub.

After I wash the car, I use an old wash mitt and also clean the wheel wells. They look about the same now as they did in March.

I took mine off a while back and tried to clean them but it was really tough to do with out scrubbing my ass off.

I'm gonna go back at some point and sand them then paint em. Will get the best results that way.

Ours had tar and other road snot on it -- a little WD-40 dissolves this stuff and the liners cleaned right up. Not sure if it would have been the same result if I had tried Simple Green or something of that nature.

A little spray paint and cleaner/detail spray. Once you have it clean, it is easy to keep up.

This is what it looks like when its finished. I was on a beer break when I took the other pics. I just hit the calipers with some metal polish about twice a year and they stay pretty clean.

This was after cleaning up and painting most stuff while installing the Koni's.

I'll have to go back and work on the wheel well when I get some time.

Paint Paint Paint, its the best option. Personally I can't stand that grey wheel well look. I see it all the time clean clean car then shitty grey wheel wells that stick out like a sore thumb totally ruins the car IMO. I've always painted mine, Clean them up then hit them with some black spray paint. Since my car is a DD I usually do it once a year.
