Are you talking about the look of the engine bay? Or is it nasty dirty and you need to clean it?

you can take off the AIR system, EGR, and hide some wires. you can also get some dress up items for it.

Can you post a picture of your engine bay as it currently sits, so we can see what we are working with.

the AIR system is the pipes attached to the manifolds on top and the rubber hose that runs down the driver side. there is also the hose that attaches to lid. the EGR is the system that has a pipe coming from the "bottom" of the manifold and runs up to the intake manifold right behind the TB. if you dont have emmisions testing in your area i would take those off and block everything for them.

My Air system fell off the other day. Not sure about EGR tho.

unplug and blockoff the two lines going into your headers. I then pulled the hose where the metal tubes were attached out from the splitter sitting up in the back of the block. 1 10mm bolt (back coilpack bolt. You'll cuss) and then another nut underneath and you can slide the splitter up.

I then unplugged the inlet side from that piece (slides up the driver side wall next to the hood) and brought all the excess hose up to the headlight.

Remove the line from your intake and block off the hole. Go under your car and open the driver side access panel. 3 more 10mm bolts and your AIR pump will come out. Remove the hoses and carefully slide them up into the engine bay (with bends they can be tight and are around all your fuse boxes).

You should have something like this left over.

what he said. i didnt take off the EGR cause mine didnt have it. but i wouldnt doubt if all it is: is to unbolt from the exhaust manifold, take hose out of intake manifold, take solenoid off and plug any vaccuum lines and the holes in the exhaust and intake manifolds.

They did a test on another site, the HP loss of a air system is not noticable. Now the a/c system, yes. Add that to the weight and if you live in Hawaii, you can ditch it. Also, if you want to loss the most useless weight, grab the nut behind the wheel.....and take them to the gym.
