Cool To Clay or Not To Clay?

Last weekend we had a block party in my neighborhood, gas grill was on my driveway, and garage door was open. I was grilling near my garage where my car is kept, and now I have oil droplets all over my car on the paint. I was thinking of ordering some Prima Car Care products before this happened. Now question is, should I clay the car before I detail it or will the Prima Car Care stuff do the job alone? TIA

I dunno if it will do it alone.. but if you're planning on doing a good job.. and have never clayed it.. I'd say clay it first.. then give it a good once over with the new stuff...

Clay it! My rear bumper gets the worst of the fall-out. I try not to clay too often as it does take a fine layer off the clearcoat over the years. Follow the instructions from any reputable clay bar and you will not be disappointed.

You should clay it first if you haven't already.

    Clay it!

I just did mine friday for the first time, I was amazed at the difference. I followed with a coat of NXT 2.0, and the paint is as smooth as glass, but slicker.

I would think that would be risky. It is meant to work on clearcoated surfaces.
