    Chip in windshield

I have a BB sized chip in the windshield of my new to me 2000 TA. Do those DIY repair kits work or should I bite the bullet and call Safelite ($50ish)? It was there before I bought the car and I don't think State Farm covers glass repair anyways anymore.

Or, pay $150 and get an entirely brand new OEM windshield. I had someone throw a rock at my car while I was cruising and it smashed into the front windshield. I heard it hit, but did not see where it came from and then noticed about 50 yards down the road my windshield up in the upper right (passenger side) corner was smashed. I about had a heart-attack.

Took the car into a local glass place the very next day and $150 later I had an entirely brand new windshield with new molding. I couldn't tell it was replaced and I inspected the hell out of it.

X2 , a professional will make it disappear if it isn't too big or spiderwebbed..

Spend the 50 dollars for Safelite and they will warranty the repair. It's only 50 dollars
