    Black WS6 owners...

I recently tried out a product for my black Trans Am and it looks great. It is the Turtle Black Polish. My car showed a lot of scratches and swirl marks. So I washed it, applied some swirl and scratch remover and noticed that it looked much better than it had. I then applied the black polish from turtle all over the car and buffed it. It has never looked so shiny. Not bad for some of us who are on a budget!

Put up some pics of your shiny black car!

I've owned many black cars in the past. I replaced the hood on a Mustang, and the shades of black didn't quite match. I used the Turtle Wax Black on the entire car and it balanced out the black nicely, couldn't tell after that that the hood was different. I only did it once, and the effect lasted for almost 2 years.

IB4T anything but "Turtle Wax" rants.

I have a black car also, a DD. It still gets many compliments about my shiny black paint (now 11 years old!), and I'm thinking about using this new TW product.

Ha, yeah I was expecting that too... But I agree with the OP, there may be better products out there, but the Turtle Wax Black did a great job for me, for the price...

So I have no idea why I had WS6 listed in the subject line. I just realized that...as if there are no other black cars. It's not car discrimination I swear!!

Im still waiting on the sun to come out so I can get some good pics...

You got something against other black cars, eh?

What's next, gonna say only that white Camaros can use this other wax?

    J/K!

You guys do realize that your cars are clear coated right?

Pigmented waxes are useless on clear coat..

Any polish or wax that has the color pigment in it to match the color of the car is short lived. A few washes and it will back to where it once was............Trust me..

yeah i seen this product at auto zone a few weeks back. brought it up in a thread that too fast was also a part of. and 35th and 2001camaroSS threw a fit. but if i remember correctly they are Zaino junkies...
those cars look great but i just wonder how this product would affect the car later on down the road. my clear coat has already begun to flake on the back driverside quater panel...
    this does look promising tho.

That man's SS looks great above! If you have scratches and swirls this will fill them in for a short time. Remove the sharp edges from scratches/swirls then wash your car properly to avoid creating new swirls/scratches is the way to go IMO.

All it could do is help. But if it's already coming off, then....

Yeah try it. It may not last as long as the Zaino polish does, but it won't hurt.

My car didnt look like it saw much garage time when I bought it...it looked like an outside car. With the car being 10 years old, this product looked great on it. It may just be a temporary fix for those of us who wash our cars on a weekly basis. My car stays in the garage 6.95 of the 7 days per week so it will last longer for those of us who dont have our F-bodies as daily drivers. I just washed it, then put NuFinish swirl and scratch remover on it, then put the black car polish on it. It is the best the car has ever looked. I do plan on trying the Zaino brothers this summer...

Does anyone use a clay bar? I ordered the Clay bar kit from Mothers and plan on using it on my daily driver SS since it sees a lot more dirt and such...
