3M makes a more expensive kit that is similiar to Mothers back to black. Ive seen them at wal mart and they look like a better solution.

If you are talking about the metal part-I repainted mine with bumper black-came out great.

How glossy did it come out, that is also on my to do list, I bought some glossy black, wet sand paper, and primer.

It comes out like a semi gloss. Looks great. Gloss black paint is gonna look too glossy IMO. I would just sand smooth, primer with black primer, sand again with 2000 grit wet sandpaper and clean off and paint with the bumper black. It looks professional.

I've heard of people using peanut butter to remove haze, and polish residue. At first I thought it was a prank, but it actually works. You guys may want to try it and post your results...

My curiosity got the best of me and I had a few minutes to try PB out on the t-top divider bar and although it seemed a little awkward it does help. I applied it on a small spot then tried to clean off with a wet clean cloth ( I scrubbed it good) to see how it would hold over in time and some of it did look good. I would assume the pb oil works like a polish and retains the wet look and should work better with plastic or rubber since they can absorb it better. I didn't try it on the plastic t-top boarders though since I'm going to use the walmart stuff this weekend and it needs to be clean and the PB oil might cause a problem. I wonder how the sun will effect it and if it might bake though?? Since I'm going to repaint the t-top divider bar, I am going to experiment on it with the PB and see what it results.

Well, Since I am currently having a problem with a stupid cat climbing on my car at night and sitting on the top. I don't think I will be trying the Peanut Butter to clean mine up. I'll probably have all of the neighborhoods cats up there.

    Yeah, I know!!!

Rain is one thing, cat prints all over the place is a completely different issue. Specially since I know from experience that they can scratch your paint. Happened on a previous vehicle.

I'm a 303 aerospace protectant fan. Works great on the trim and lasts much longer than that crappy back to black.
