I used 3m scratch remover, nu finish fine scratch remover. And a product call "Parko" can't remember if it's 2500, or 3500 but it's a glaze.. Only thing I can describe it like is teflon nothing seems to stick nothing.. All done by hand. Even bird crap, and tree sap wont stick..

veery nice but ill get the soap and water what not probably one a week but the whole waxing thing is very complicated to me for some reason. i use turtle wax rubbing compoun( only on sections when its reeally bad) and then ill use turtle wax polishing on most surfaces and then maguires cleaner wax for a finishing coat but one section came out looking really flat.like a veerry like black that has almost 0 rteflection in it.everyone else is using all these other crazy [products of which ive never heard so someone should make a how to guide!

to answer your question, autogeek has a good section on how to correctly wash, wax or whatever you wanna do. they also have a forum. check it out. and while your there id look at the stuff they sell because IMO iv never had good luck with turtle wax anything except for the TW ice quick detailer (i live by that stuff)
