Best Car Wax for my t/a

My t/a is stock blue-green camaleon paint and its a lil dirty so i want to give it a good wash and wax tomorrow. I will spend a good two hours doing it at my house to get it as clean as possible, because i just got it and i honesty think it is the best car that i have ever owned or drove. I am only 18 so you have an idea.

    Thanks a lot
    John

I use astro-shield, it is real good in my opinion. I think you can only get it mail order these days-not sure. I think the web site is www.astoshield.com.

I use Zaino on my black TA. The secret is to do the prep work before applying it the first time. Follow the instructions they give you to prepare your car to be polished. You can only buy it online from www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc

I'm always getting compliments on how shiny and nice my car looks (even when it is covered with a layer of dust). I also like that you only need to apply it every 6 months. After the first time, each time you add layers is easier to do. If you have a lot of those fine little scratches on your car that you get from taking it to be washed at the car wash, then I suggest using Z5 to remove the scratches. This is a polishing system and you'll be amazed with the results. People still think I just drove it off the dealer lot because of how good it looks.

The best way to do it is to put a layer of synthetic wax down for a good glossy shine, followed with caranauba over top of it to give it a deep wet look. I personally havent had any problems with Meguiars stuff.

I've used Zaino and a number of other waxes but I'd have to say that my favorite is the Meguires NXT "Tech Wax".

I've been using Liquid Glass for a few years, and no matter what car I used it on it always gave them a really good gloss.

I always liked using Meguires gold glass over zaino products in the past because I feel I get the same results for less of a price. Recentally switched to the NXT "Tech Wax" it offers better UV Protection... I only use the Paste because the shine is better than liquids. In between washes I like to touch up using Turtle Wax's Spray Detailer, I found that it doesn't streak or have to be buffed in like the other sprays out there. Good prep work is the key though.

Also if you follow Zaino's site for prepping the car, NEVER use dawn or dish soap. The detergents strip the wax, but also dull and hurt the clear coat. They've had that prep step up for years and it's the most retarded thing in the world. Stick to the clay bar and you'll lift all you need to off the finish
