Window Motors...
My window motors are going to go out again. they have been replaced 6 times together under factory warrenty and I have had to replace them an additional 4 times since the warrenty went up.
I have the lifetime garantee motors in there from Auto Zone, but the money is not the problem anymore. I would pay anything to have these things acting right.
I would love to put the window motors from a Mustang in there because they work so well. Would this be possible? Has anyone come out with a motor that is not garbage?390 RWHP on mustang dyno

do you properly lube the tracks when you install the new motors? maybe you should try a different auto zone. perhaps the one you go to got a bad batch of motors.

have you had any other problems with your car? I would take in your battery and have it checked out.. that can also cause your windows to slow down quite a bit

That is the "reason" Auto Zone has a lifetime warranty, I've come to realize that "electrical items" from Auto Zone are NO good. That's why they offer the "lifetime warranty". I found some re-placement motors at "http://stores.channeladvisor.com/DoctorAutoParts/items/item.aspx?itemid=8325878" Their only $19.95. The price my be cheap, don't know about actual motors. Haven't tryed them yet though. Going to order them probably today. "Greasing the tracks" is new to me, gonna try when I replace my motors though.

BEING that you're from Louisiana, with all the humidity, etc... it's probably a great idea to lube the tracks. helps keep everything moving freely, and reduces strain on the motor. make sure you lube the motor gear and the window gear a bit too.
