Why does this work??
Ok i was swapping stereos around in some cars i have....and took a aftermarket deck out of a car to replace it with the stocker...had the aftermarket deck still wired for the gm harness and decided for shits and gigs to hook it up to my camaro harness...my maro has the monsoon system in it...so i was thinking of course it wouldnt work...to my amazement it works just like a normal stereo would. have full control of all the speakers in the car...i was always under the assumption that i would have to rewire the entire car if i wanted an aftermarket deck in there...so my question is why does it work? lmao...thanks in advance guys

I think it's the BOSE system you have to rewire. atleast I had to on my 95 Z

I've replaced my door speakers already and they had two sets of wires to each. one was the tweeter and the other was the woofer. I also was under the thought that the factory amp wouldn't take a high power input.

well i did the same thing..replaced the speakers in the doors of which had 2 sets of wires....1 set for high (tweets) and the other for the lows or the woofers part of the speaker...what i did was took 1 wire from each set and got lows and highs out fo the same speaker now and worked for over 5 years now...

Nah I used Memphis speakers and they had the two already seperated. just like the factory ones.

Although I've never torn apart the Monsoon system, I think the speaker outputs on a aftermarket stereo basically go to the amp, where they are amplified and split up to power all the speakers.

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
It will work fine. The monsoon amp will take the input and send it to the appropriate speakers. The only one that might be different is the bose system which is different than the monsoon.
