    Whats wrong with my blinkers!!!

This past weekend I drove to Florida and back, about 1300 miles, and most of it was driving in the rain.

on the way down, I noticed i put on my left blinker, but the little green arrow just stayed lit up, no clicking....well damn.....next stop I get out and check on it. when I engage my blinker, all the lights on the left rear come on, and the front blinker comes on. they just stay on, no blinking.....turn on the hazzards, and they blink.

This situation gets a little tougher because I have Altezzas in the back, so the break lights blink, not a stand alone amber like the stock lights.

well on the way back home, right side did the same thing.

checked the bulbs, filaments look ok.....probably relays?

I'm online and I'm seeing thermal relays, and electronic relays...the latter are 3 times the price.

check out all your connections as well i had the same problem with my old Trans Am the sockets were a little loose in the tail lights and when we bent some tabs inward it made a better connection and fixed the problem!

i would also check your connections. Especially up front. The heat from the bulbs can crack the housing and then water gets in. I have been dealing with this issue since i got my 02 back in 2009. My Blinkers get screwy after i wash it or it rains. I have to pull the bulbs out, clean the connections and put new grease in after a good wash or heavy rain. Then they work fine.

nice, i got it fixed, swapped out my aftermarket housings for stock, i think it looks better, the old bulbs had melted the housing, so they shattered when i tried to get them out.

new bulbs and new housings got my blinkers working, but it was blinking reallyl slow, so i threw in a flasher relay, now were good as new

just fyi, your situation ended up being real complicated, but when any of the dual filament bulbs burn out the same thing will happen. you can check to see which one it is by turning on your hazards and find the bulb that isnt flashing.

both were burned out, but i think that when i did hazards, everything still blinked, but in removed the housings, i shattered both bulbs, the housings had melted to them, and then my flasher relay was going really slow, so everything except the sockets got replaced...theyll prob be going soon too. both were pretty charred, and i lost the gasket on one side
