I used Kicker cvt65 2ohm in my camaro. Fits perfect (recommend using a gasket) and they sound fine. Although they act more like a sub base than a mid base they do the trick. Front and rear are both infinity kappa. All in all good sounding system much better than stock without replacing stock head and amp

What he said. I just put the exact same speakers in my TA and put a Pioneer GMT 5300 amp on them with Pioneer 6.5" 3 way door speakers and Pioneer 4" 3 way trunk speakers. The Kickers are frigging awesome.

I may try some for the new door speakers. My car has a 10" JBL sub hidden in the back for some extra kick.

I got some Bazooka speakers from another forum and they turned out awesome. Got them for about $100. It was an easy swap. Didn't have to change anything else.

I am using this one. It is Pioneer GM-5300T. They are 4 Ohm and this amp runs them really good. The max RMS on the Kickers are 150 and this amp supports 125RMS.

For my Camaro I installed the 2 ohm Kickers with the stock monsoon amp. I think Firebirds need the 4 ohm if you are using the stock monsoon amp.

So for the stock 4 ohm amp in firebirds what are some of you guys using to replace the stock sub without mods?

I would go with the Image Dynamics CX-64 for the rear.

the kicker comes 4 and 2 ohm. not many places sell both though for some reason. but also on either the camaro or the firebird you need dual coil with 2 wirings to the speaker or it will be half as loud with stock amp. although maybe combining those wires into just 1 positive and negative would work? idk im not a radio expert.
