wattage question

So I have an amp that is rated at 2ohms 480w and 1ohm 600w (rms)
The current setup is a DVC 10" wired in parallel for 2ohm, would I notice a significant difference if I got another Type R to drop the load on the amp to 1ohm?

I'd have to think about your wiring set up for a minute. But in short...if you can get a 1 ohm load, absolutely, wear hearing protection though.

Everything would be wired in parallel basically... each coil wired in parallel, to the terminal, then wire both of the terminals in parallel (stealth boxes)

Another option would be to sell the current sub and get one that is a dvc with 2 ohm per coil. Unless you want to add another sub.
