    System Pics

Well I figured I would post some pics of my system since everyone else seems to be doing it
    Here's the eclipse head unit.

    The fronts

    The rears

.. and the sub and amp. The amp powers all the speakers and does a damn good job of it. I snapped the trim over the box after I took this pic and it hasn't popped back up since, not sure what the deal was in this pic.

Have to show off whats behind the grills, so I put the focal emblem in my factory grills. Just sawed out a little hole with a dremel, superglued a piece of cardboard slightly bigger than the square on the backside, then glued the emblem to the cardboard. You can see the square in the pics but not at all in the car.

I love the focals. They're the clearest I've ever heard, and I'm a bose man. Not the crappy ones that go in the new chevys, I'm talking there highend lifestyles systems. And the one 10 really hits, most people think I have a 12 when I crank it up. This setup cost me 1800 installed, and no the steering wheel controls don't work.

my system i put down the hatch cargo cover over the subs and i have a way to strap the t-tops into the back of the car and i still have my back seat free as well as still have my large stereo system with 3 applifiers under the sub box which i have no problems with cooling at all.

Thats what I was figuring. Just can't see that being all that safe though. But nice looking systems either way!

That's a very nice setup u have there for those subs man, where did u get them? I just bought a 98' Formula and took out the system out of my 04' Durango (two 12" MTX subs) and i'm wanting to put it into the Formula very soon....

If you have T-tops and desire subs as well I have heard from a fellow camaro owner that the sub box at subthump.com is very nice. I'd post a link, but I can't since I have less than five posts... sorry.

What kind of mods did you have to do to put those speakers in the door and sailpanels or were they direct replacements. Will they work with the factory head unit and factory amp or would i have to go with an aftermarket setup? Thanks

Heres the box LOCKDOWN is refering to. http://www.subthump.com/images/camaro/ttop/ttop2.jpg
Subthump has it all from stealth to whatever you need. Nice build quality too. I have one of there passenger side stealth boxes to compliment the drivers side one. Does very well with just one...I had to see what two would do!!

R&L, if you were asking about the focals, they bolt right in. They would sound like crap off the stock amp though, I've got 100 watts going to each speaker off the amp in the back.

100 RMS to each Tweet and run active crossover

i use to have kicks in my old car the doors in the Fbodys arent great for speakers but there is really no room for kick pannels in the manual's atleast
