Anyone had 4-10" subs in an Fbody? I've got 4 xtant 10's layin around. (2 of them are already in my std. cab ranger, i could use the room back, so i may pull em out and stick those in the car)

Just curious if it's been done and if there's room enough. I've been thinking (read: not measuring, ideas only here) About a \ _ _ / setup in the back 'hole' or if that doesn't warrant enough room, maybe a \ / \ / setup? If all else fails, i'll run 3 subs in the typical fashion.

I had an 89 Firebird and had a 15" kicker comp VR and the 2 xtant 10's in the back hole, 15" in a box under the 10's, and i made a plate similar to the subthump setup for the 10's and kinda 'hid' the 15. that setup rocked my world. With Ttops out it would vibrate the entire windshield frame back and forth roughly half an inch. I loved it, but it went out the window when i took it off the road for winter and sold it the following spring. Then i put the 15 and 10's in my fullsize Bronco, thats a different story (box was 48" wide, 17" deep, 16" tall, 3 chambers, 3cu ft ported in the middle for the 15, 1cuft. on the ends for the 10's) Anywho...i didn't vote :-P

I have one ported 10" alpine type r sub powered by an alpine amp and it hits hard as hell! The box is more important than the sub for great sounds!

I prefer a single DVC sub for a good SQ system. I like my Image Dynamics IDQ12v3D4. It hits hard when needed but overal a very responsive quality sub.

I ran 2 10's when I competed in IASCA many moons ago.

I like deeper lows so I vote on two 12s. I will only though put a 10" DVC sub in a stealth box in the car. I think that is all I need.

2 IDMAX 10d2 each in 1.6 cu.ft. @ 29hz each with a external aero-port. powered by 1 MMATS D3500.05. So loud it hurts! If you want bass really loud and low, go ported!
If you want more go with a rear seat area sub box., also ported!

There was a dude running around here with a 98 v-6. Had removed the rear seats and walled the cabin off just behind the front seats. Had 8 Kicker Solo L5's. I cant remember if all were the same size or if it was 4-10's and 4-12's.

It look cheesy as the box was spray canned black, and you could see all the screw heads. But he was running all Alpine amps(this was right when the stackables were released) he also had the alpine digital controller(computer).

It was eFFin redonkulous. It pushed his winshield out numerous times, the pressure was immense. Never broke any glass I knew of, but it was stupid loud.

Im just running a JL W0 10" in a cut down truck box on a 225 watt MTX amp. Its sounds ok for what it is, actually, it sounds exactly like what it is!

I used to have 2 Diamond Audio D312D2's and a Diamond Audio D61000.1, in my Ranger, and thought numerous times about tryin to put it in the Camaro, but that got stolen while Iwas out of the state for the past 4 weeks. They got my Pioneer AVH 5700 DVD and my Alpine EREG 180 eq too.
But I guess they didnt have enough time, as they left the remote, and my 2-meter HAM Kenwood alone.
Cocksuckers that they are, I wish theyd come back for the remote!

I only run 1 10" Alpine type R 2ohm dvc in a subthump inclosure with a modified PPI 2300am amp giving it penty of power since running it into 2 ohms per coil with the gain at half since it would be about 600 RMS per coil. It is great for all different kinds of music and a nice clean sound. I had 2 12" kicker solobarics and they just rattled your head but I wanted to free up space and cut down on weight so I went with the 1 10". If there were 3 10's in there it would be very loud, my guess louder than the 2 kicker solo barics I had running about 350-400 watts to them in a .88 cu. ft. box sealed each one. I have seen some expensive 10's and 12' like RE, JBL and Alpine has a step up sub series I think the D or S that run about $210 for a 10" but will handle 500-1000 per coil since there DVC.

Thought I would mention my system in here....it's a SQ setup with one 10" Alpine Type-R in a .80 cu ft box. The sub is driven by a 600w Alpine PDX amp. I know it doesn't hit like most of the systems here but it sounds incredibly good with paired with the midbass from home-audio calibre front speakers. The bass is upfront and the attack is extremely quick
