Sub-Thump T-Top Box Question
Two questions.
1) Is there enough airspace in the dual 12 t-top box from Subthump.com to even remotely satisfy two Brahma 12"s? I have decided on these subs, or possibly the XXXs, but they are very similar.
2) How exactly do the T-tops store in the box? It looks like they TOUCH each other... if that's the case, then no way, Jose... I'll have to figure something else out.
maybe you can still find t-top bags... my thirdgen had a bag, that made it easy to have custom sub boxes that you just strapped the bag to it... do they make 4thgen t-top bags with mounting straps??

also, I didn't see any box volume measurements/estimates on subthump's website...
it mentions something about there being enough room for a 9"x32" amp underneath... does it explain how TALL the empty space is underneath??

It says at the bottom of the web page that there is 2.2 cubic feet of volume. If you get the dual chamber enclosure then there is 1.1 cubic foot per chamber.
Yes, the tops do touch each other.

It sounds simple but it works for me and many of my customers.
I would build all you want in that back compartment where the tops
are supposed to be stored. When the tops are off the car, store them
in that space between the back seat and the subs. You should have plenty
of room if you do it this way.

if they touch each other, how do you prevent scratching? do you put a towel between them? the space looks a bit tight to even fit a towel between...

Hey Brian, do these bags have internal separation? It looks like it's two side-by-side pockets that, once you put the t-tops in, it folds in half?
are there any straps or how do you secure the bag?

They should do fine without the straps depending on how you have
them positioned.
They are really great for these tops. I am surprised
GM does not offer them.
Anything else? Let me know!
Thanks,

that's why I was hoping it worked like the thirdgen bags... where they had four hooks and it strapped down on the rear hump...

I have several of the 3rd generation bags if your interested.
I am pretty sure that they will work the same way and fit
the same but I have to double check.
Let me know if that sounds good!
Thanks

it may be possible to make straps that just hold the bags down without being a part of the bag itself... I have to do some thinking/planning...
