    Sub box

I want to put subs in my car and I want it to hit kind of hard but at the same time I really don’t want to lose my T-top holder. Has any1 tried these boxes from sub thump http://www.subthump.com/acamarottop.htm? R any other suggestions?

I'm looking to do the same thing. My set will be 3 10's because I already had 2 12's in an earlier camaro and want somthing new. But I would like to know as well. Subthump use to make a milhouse box the flipped over and gave you full access to the t-top rack but the discountined it a few years back I think.

You know, I had a good small set up. I had 1- 10" sub, and yes it doesn't sound like much, but I had it in the box meant for the Camaros that tucks behind the plastic behind the rear driverside tire. With the right sub and amp combo it sounded really nice. It would rattle my buddies shelves in his house from about 20-30 feet away. And that allowed me full, and constant access to my t-top holders.

I have MTX 10", not sure the model, one of the top ones they make with 800 watts going to it. The best thing about the Camaro is it's a hatchback so you don't have anything stopping the sound from coming up front. I like alot of thump too, and this set up rattled my mirror loose after a short period of time. Granted it's not your 12s, but depending on the size of your amp, you should be able to find a 10 that can handle it.

I have never used the T-top box from subthump, but I would imagine it would pound pretty hard. I, personally, dropped my car off this afternoon to have a single Diamond Audio TDX10 installed, firing directly up at the rear glass, powered by a JL A1800 mounted on the back wall. I am having the installers take out the stealth box I currently have installed because of a lack of "true" deep bass with the Kicker Comp VR10 I have now.
I have had dual 10 & dual 15 "well boxes" installed in my car in the past, but the bumping can get to become unbearable. For me, I value trunk space more than going deaf! I have to use my trunk several times a week, and packing groceries or whatever in my backseat is not something I feel is conventional. It's a personal preference, but I try to get the best of both worlds (bass and space).
I'll try to post up some pics when they get it finished!

    my setup:

I know everyone says sony sucks or whatever but I actually like the quality and never had any problems. The bass is very crisp. As for the box I love it. Only problem is to fit the t-tops in there I have to lift the box to put the first one down there. The hole isn't quite big enough for the handle part of the t-top. Other than that I love the look. Definitely worth my money.

oh man I just noticed how dirty the car is. Promise its not always like that Oh and something I forgot to mention... the amp sits under the box pretty nice. It makes for a very clean setup.

they slide in but they sit in there very snug. I could take a pic later to illustrate what I mean if youd like.
