stealth box.
i know there a big thing and they look great but what about the sound? i make alot of custom sub boxes and i could only get at the max .5 cubic feet. most subs need at least .75 plus the sub beiing in there so they need about 1 cubic foot just to compensate...anybody got experiance with these??

IMO a 10" sub is as big as you can go and still get pretty decent sound from an enclosure as small as a stealthbox. They are a compromise at best for a 10" and even more so for a 12". I was going to try 8" subs in mine since they would be a much better match to the enclosure but I sold the car before I could try it.

Yea - there are plenty of subs that will sound just as good in the .65cu.ft enclosure though. Elemental Designs, TCsounds are a few manufacturers that work particularly well there.

My Eclipse Competition 10" sub which I'm tryin to sell sounded really good in my StealthBox. Def worth it and saved me on trunk space.

Most 10" subs use about .4 - .7 cu ft for SQ setups and less for SPL. Ive run many 10" subs in 1.0 cu ft + and dont care for the sound, they Hit low but are not very musical. BTW (I listen to Rock). Keep in mind stealth boxes are sealed.

I've never had any problems with my sub setup. Always having people tell me it sounds great.

Designed it myself. But since I lacked the stuff to make it (particle board and carpet), just took my drawings to my local audio shop and they constructed it for me for cheap.

Beautiful setup Hunter. Is that a single 12" or is there one on the other side as well?

looks awesome, except for when you have to cut your passenger side panel to make room for the box. you can tell it had to be cut. Other than that I am totally jelous of your setup!

Yeah, I've been saying one of these days I'm gonna clean up the cut to the right side panel.
