Sound guru's please help!!!
hello everyone.
All this is for my 1987 iroc camro
Im trying to get a good system going and I want to do it right and do it once.
Here is a list of what I Have sitting in my room! :

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rvrBEZb...x?i=500RUE4202 wireless remote

JC POWER amp wires with
-17' gauge clear translucent braided power wire
-3' 4 gauge black translucent braided ground wire
-17' 18 gauge remote turn-on lead
-40' 16 gauge speaker wire
-Dual Twist 5M RCA Cable
-Installation accesories

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=13488 Audiobahn A4004T amp
new powe antena ( stock just rebuilt) and chillin in my room
with Front and rear Infinity refeance speakers.
and that is what I HAVE
Now my question is do I need another amp ? If so should I run a 1 channle mono amp for the sub? OR guy sell my amp and get a 5 channle amp
I want to to this right the first time and not have to redo it later on. I also want to do the install clean as possible so less wires the better so I am kind of leaning to the 5chl amp.( thats if I actualy need one)
I am planning to cut a piece of wood to fit inthe spare tire well, cover it with some fabric( to mach my carpet) and mount the amp onto it.
So please let me know what I should do. I would like to get this done soon.
thanks

my educated guess would be that all the stuff you mentioned above would be much better than stock 1987 sound systems so go for it

I have absolutely no clue what you have since the links are dead and I'm kinda to lazy to look them up, but...I would just get rid of them and get a 5 channel Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life or something comparable. I've been looking into this alot lately and the 25 to Life, although a little pricey is well worth it. There SEVERELY underrated, as with most RF amps. Don't know about others though.

you will need the 5th channel for any type of decent sub it matters not if you use 2 amps or a 5 channel, that being said a 5 channel usually uses less room

How many channels is the amp you have? The links don't work. Do you have one or more subs?

I've built lots of stereos over the years and if you have the space I would always recomend a seperate sub amp. that way you can match your amp to your sub and have better heat disapation spread over two amps instead of one. will last longer and in the end you will be happier with your setup.
2 channel stereo amp in bridged mode or 1 channel mono amp will work the same.
good luck with the install man!
