    Sony CDX-M7810 head unit

I have read alot of the write ups but don't see anything about replacing the speakers and using a different head unit. I am installing the mention head unit and have ordered a steering wheel control interface part# PESWIPS.

I was wondering if I could still use the 62.9i since i am unable to find a resonable price set of 62.7i on ebay or amazon. I would love some help with this subject or suggestions on another set of speakers that would replace my blown ones.

I think the 62.7 are discontinued. Most people choose the 62.9. Are you replacing just the front or the back too?

Check the stickies up top. I think the trans am has a dual input sail panel woofer with a seperate tweeter. Not positive. If so then you could use the 62.9 in the rear too. Just don't use one of the inputs for the woofer. Another option is do away with the monsoon all together. Just run new speaker wires from the headunit to the speakers. Then you can use any component speakers you want.
